Rickie, I know you have savored the beauty of Christ's words, but have gagged at some of the repulsiveness that religion adds to the equation. Know this, that Christ's words of love were meant for you and His promises are eternal. Know that there is peace in His truths, there is a steadfast anchor in His commands that can give you incredible strength. I know you want to avoid "joining the club", but if that just means putting on a religious facade, than count me out as well. I pray that He will send His Spirit down and speak to your heart, and you will be smitten by His peace and His everlasting love for you.
