Marion, I know the decision for you to confess your sins, to expose to the world that you had violated the rules of your sport, was a difficult and painful one to make. But know now that the truth shall set you free. You no longer have to live under your own self condemnation and the cloud of self-doubt. Confessing this is a step towards righteousness, it is breaking up the unplowed ground so the seeds of righteousness may be sown. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free and it is this eternal freedom that you can lay claim to. Long after the glimmer of the lost gold medals has faded, long after your earthly body has returned to dust, your eternal life with Author and Perfector of your faith and freedom will still be shining brightly.
