Tiger, I know that this has been a hard year for you. To lose your father, your mentor, your champion leaves a deep painful void in your life. Know from the depths of your sorrow, God hears your cry. Know that He blessed you with a father that wished to impart to you knowledge that transcends far beyond the game of golf. The best way to honor this gift of God is to never forget the wisdom he imparted, always the remember the love he poured out, and the sacrifices made on your behalf, to become not a great golfer, but a great man known more for the love he showed than the putts he sank. Carson, I can only imagine that being big man on campus at USC, the number one overall draft pick in the NFL and a successful pro football star brings a significant amount of financial security. I also know that financial security rarely equates to peace. I pray right now that you will, outside of any status you have attained, or money you have acquired, will dwell in a place of unshakeable peace. That regardless of what the future holds for your career, that you will know that you Creator has incredible plans for you. Father, You have raised up Mekhi from the streets of Harlem, where so many young men fall prey to the violence of our culture. I thank You this day, that You have kept Mekhi alive and free. I thank You, Lord, for all of the people that you have placed in his life to help cultivate the great talent with whichYou have blessed him. As he considers the great things You have done for him, instill in him an even greater compassion for those young men struggling against those pressures. Father, Your word here says it is a sin against You if we fail to pray for the people You have placed on our hearts. I don't consider it an obligation ot pray for Eddie, I count it as a privilege. Lord, You have placed in Eddie's heart songs. Songs that cry out for the brokenhearted, the lost, the dispossesed. You have given him words that touch people and relate to the struggle that is life in an imperfect world. I pray, Father, that You will give Him pictures and words, and songs about Your Kingdom, where there are no more tears, there is no sickenss, where suffering is no longer even a memory. Songs of truth, that speak hope into this world. Bless his marriage, bless his daughter. May his delight in her speak of Your delight in him.

I pray He pours out His Spirit upon you in abundance. That you, as His servant, and by His hand, will seek justice where there is injustice, pursue mercy for those who are shown no mercy, and fight for peace for those ravaged by war.Brad, I pray that the Lord will put in you an unquenchable spirit to seek these things, even to the point of obsession. "Father God, I lift up Eugene to You today. I know Lord that You watch over his life, You pour out Your blessings upon him. I pray that on this, his 6oth birthday, You will begin a new chapter in his life, that You will speak into his heart a new desire, that You will put in his mouth a new song. I pray that he will take the influence You have allowed him to acquire, and he will press into issues that will have an impact for eternity. That his friends, and family, especially his children, will see and understand all that he is doing, and a new legacy will be formed. Father, again, bless him on this day, and thank You for this man who makes me smile.

This all started when some good friends of ours were having their first child back in October. I wanted to find a scripture to match the date of their daugher's birth. For example if she was born on October 15th, I'd choose, say John 10:15. I then wondered if I could find a scripture that matched every day of the year. Then I thought I'd find a prominant living person born on each day of the year, and pray that scripture over them. Some of the prayers are intercessory, some prophetic, some just prayers of thanks. So, I will try to update this daily starting at the beginning of the year. Then, other strangers can add their prayers as well.
